In his practice, Mr. Jones has represented numerous clients, including developers, public/private partnerships, investors, and lenders. Mr. Jones’s responsibilities have included managing and closing commercial real estate transactions, including land use, financing and development matters and drafting and negotiating purchase contracts, commercial leases, loan documentation, development agreements and related agreements.
Mr. Jones’s general business practice includes advising businesses and business owners in entity choice and formation issues, equity structures, and the negotiation and preparation of shareholder agreements, operating agreements, service contracts, manufacturing and consulting agreements, and franchise and licensing agreements.
Mr. Jones received his Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature from the University of the South, in Sewanee, Tennessee in 1991. He attended the Cumberland School of Law at Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama, where he received his Juris Doctor, Magna Cum Laude, in 1995. He was the Casenote Editor of the Cumberland Law Review.
Mr. Jones is a native of Charlotte, North Carolina, where he lives with his wife, Jennifer and their two daughters, Lindsay and Emily.
